StupidBets is a personal, non-commercial project, developed and maintained by a single individual. It lets groups of friends or family track informal bets among themselves (with no real financial stake).
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. (440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA — vercel.com). Data (accounts, bets, circles) is stored and managed by Supabase Inc., which acts as a technical subprocessor for database hosting and authentication (supabase.com).
The name "StupidBets", the logo, and the site's graphic elements are the property of the publisher mentioned above, unless otherwise stated. User-generated content (bet names, stakes, circle names) remains the property of its author; by using it, you agree that it will be visible to other members of the circles you belong to.
StupidBets is an informal tracking tool for close friends, provided "as is". The publisher cannot be held liable for disputes between users regarding the outcome of a bet: StupidBets does not arbitrate any disagreement, it only records what users declare themselves. No financial transaction is carried out via the application: stakes (money, dares, items) are purely declarative.

By creating an account, you agree to the rules below. They're deliberately short and simple, fitting a project between friends.
StupidBets lets you track informal bets between friends (a beer, a dare, a symbolic amount...). The application does not organize or arbitrate any bet: it only records what users declare. No real stake is ever handled, collected, or paid out by the application.
StupidBets is intended for people aged 15 and over, the age from which French law allows individuals to consent alone to the processing of their personal data.
An account is personal: you're responsible for its use and for keeping your password confidential. Your display name and the content of your bets and circles are visible to other members of your circles.
By creating an account, you agree to receive emails necessary for the service to work: account confirmation, password reset, notification that a bet has been proposed to you or is awaiting your response. These are operational emails tied to an action you or another member triggered in the application, not commercial prospecting — they don't require separate marketing consent under French law and can't be individually disabled while your account is active. StupidBets never sends advertising emails or a newsletter.
Published content (bet titles, stakes, circle names) must remain lawful and respectful of other members. The publisher reserves the right to suspend or delete an account in case of clear abuse (illegal content, harassment, misuse of the service).
A friend can add you to a bet or a circle before you even have an account (a "ghost" account). When you create your account and claim it ("That's me"), the bets and circles tied to that ghost are transferred to your account.
You can request deletion of your account at any time (see Profile > Account settings, or the Privacy Policy below).
These terms may evolve along with the service. The version in effect is always the one published on this page.
